Instructions
1. Make the Patties
- Add ground beef to a bowl.
- Season with salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, and Italian seasoning.
- Mix gently until combined—don’t overwork the meat.
- Divide into equal portions and shape into small patties, slightly larger than the buns.
2. Cook the Patties
- Heat a lightly oiled skillet or grill pan over medium heat.
- Cook patties for 3–4 minutes per side until browned and fully cooked.
- Remove from heat and let rest briefly.
3. Prepare the Buns
- Slice buns in half if needed.
- Lightly toast them in a pan or oven to add flavor and prevent sogginess.
4. Assemble the Mini Burgers
- Arrange bottom buns on a baking sheet.
- Spoon pizza sauce onto each bun.
- Add a cooked patty, followed by another spoonful of sauce.
- Top with mozzarella cheese and any optional toppings.
- Finish with the top bun halves.
5. Bake to Finish
- Preheat the oven to a moderate temperature.
- Bake for 5–7 minutes, until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Remove from the oven, cool slightly, and serve warm.
